The best of Israel's young people - reservists who shed their blood at the front, put their lives on hold and sacrifice years - run into fortified walls, are rejected for lack of space and are forced to leave the country, tear themselves apart financially and study medicine in Europe, because "there are no positions" and "there's no room" in Israeli academia and hospitals. But for the people of Nablus from a university where the Hamas cell enjoys significant support? For them room will always be found. For them the doors open wide and the resources flow. This is exactly what a creeping takeover of one of the most critical lifelines in the country looks like - under the cover of the system's total blindness. This is the disease of progressivism in all its wretchedness and danger: institutionalized self-hatred, in which we push out our sons, the fighters and those most loyal to us - and with our own hands train the enemy's environment. After October 7 no one any longer has the privilege of pretending not to understand where this moral blindness leads. Whoever is merciful to the cruel ends up being cruel to his own children. A Jewish state that desires life and has true sovereignty would say a simple thing: our people first. Our soldiers and reservists first. Our students and doctors first. The lives and security of our children first. Whoever, after the most terrible massacre in our history, still brings the enemy's environment into the Israeli holy of holies - has forgotten nothing and learned nothing. It's time to wake up, return to sanity and choose life. This disgrace must be stopped immediately and the entry visas of the medical teams from Nablus canceled.

ילדות וילדי ישראל, הורי ישראל, הבוקר נפתחת שנת לימודים חדשה. גם אני שולח הבוקר שני ילדים לבית הספר, וגם אצלנו בבית יש המון התרגשות. אני רוצה לספר לכם משהו אישי. בכיתה ד׳ חזרתי לארץ אחרי כמה שנים בארצות הברית, עם עברית דלה. לא כל כך הלך לי בלימודים. קיבלתי ״מספיק״, ״טוב מינוס״ ו״כמעט טוב״. ואז, יום אחד, מורה לדרמה אמרה לי על משהו שעשיתי ״כל הכבוד״. רק שתי מילים אבל הן נתנו לי ביטחון שהקרין גם על תחומים אחרים. מאז אני יודע שלפעמים כל מה שילד צריך הוא מבוגר אחד שיאמין בו ולא יוותר עליו. זו גם המשימה הגדולה של מערכת החינוך שלנו: לא לוותר על אף ילד. אסור לנו להחליט מראש מה יהיה עתידו של ילד לפי היישוב שבו נולד, המגזר שאליו הוא משתייך או בית הספר שבו הוא לומד. כשר חינוך, ירשתי עשר שנות דעיכה במתמטיקה ובמדעים, במיוחד בפריפריה. אמרו לי שאי אפשר להביא מצוינות לפריפריה. תוך ארבע שנים הכפלנו את מספר הזכאים לחמש יחידות מתמטיקה, כולל בפריפריה. כמו שעשינו אז בחמש יחידות מתמטיקה, כך נעשה בכל מערכת החינוך. בממשלה הבאה, כצעד מיידי ודחוף, נכריז על מצב חירום לאומי במערכת החינוך ונגייס אלפי מורים חדשים למערכת. לא נשלים עם מצב שבו חסרים בישראל יותר מ-30 אלף מורים. אבל לא נסתפק בכיבוי שריפות. נבנה מחדש את מערכת החינוך כדי שתראה כל ילד וילד. נעביר משאבים וסמכות ניהולית ממשרד החינוך והביורוקרטיה אל המנהלים, המורים והתלמידים. נעשה מהפכה בחינוך הממלכתי ונקבע בסיס ישראלי משותף של מתמטיקה, אנגלית וציונות לכל ילדי ישראל. לצד מערכת חינוך מצוינת, ילדים צריכים דבר בסיסי נוסף - שקט ויציבות. בשנים האחרונות הילדים שלנו עברו מלחמות, אזעקות, ושנות לימודים שנקטעו שוב ושוב. חלק מהטלטלה הזאת נכפה עלינו בידי אויבינו. וכשאויב תוקף אותנו, צריך להילחם בו ולנצח. אבל לא כל הכאוס היה גזירת גורל. חלק היה גם תוצאה של חוסר תכנון וניהול כושל. גילינו כמה כוח יש במשפחות הישראליות. אבל חוסן של אזרחים לא יכול להיות תחליף למדינה שמתפקדת. בממשלה הבאה נחזיר למערכת החינוך ניהול ומקצועיות. אני לא מבטיח שלא יהיו עוד אתגרים. אני כן מתחייב שכשיהיה משבר - תהיה מדינה שתנהל אותו. לא נשאיר אתכם להתמודד עם זה לבד. מגיעות לילדים שלנו שנים נורמליות. שנים שבהן הם יוכלו להיות פנויים לפתח סקרנות, להעז, ולחלום. תלמידות ותלמידי ישראל, אני אוהב אתכם ומאמין בכם. שתהיה לכולכם שנת לימודים טובה, בטוחה ויציבה. ביחד נתקן את החינוך, וביחד נתקן את ישראל. יהיה פה טוב. באהבה גדולה, נפתלי בנט

Within four years we doubled the number of those eligible for five-unit mathematics, including in the periphery. Just as we did then with five-unit mathematics, so we will do in the entire education system. In the next government, as an immediate and urgent step, we will declare a national emergency in the education system and recruit thousands of new teachers into the system. We will not accept a situation in which Israel is short more than 30 thousand teachers. But we won't settle for putting out fires. We will rebuild the education system so that it sees every single child. We will transfer resources and managerial authority from the Education Ministry and the bureaucracy to the principals, teachers and students. We will revolutionize state education and establish a shared Israeli foundation of mathematics, English and Zionism for all the children of Israel. Alongside an excellent education system, children need another basic thing - calm and stability. In recent years our children have gone through wars, sirens, and school years that were cut short again and again. Part of this upheaval was forced on us by our enemies. And when an enemy attacks us, we must fight it and win. But not all the chaos was fate. Part of it was also the result of a lack of planning and failed management. We discovered how much strength Israeli families have. But the resilience of citizens cannot be a substitute for a functioning state. In the next government we will restore management and professionalism to the education system. I don't promise there won't be more challenges. I do commit that when there's a crisis - there will be a state that manages it. We won't leave you to deal with it alone. Our children deserve normal years. Years in which they can be free to develop curiosity, to dare, and to dream. Students of Israel, I love you and believe in you. May you all have a good, safe and stable school year.
