בהמשך לפרסומנו יו"ר ועדת הבחירות המרכזית הורה לליכוד להסיר את כל שלטי הפרסום שמציגים את ראשי גוש השינוי עם ח"כ עבאס וח"כ טיבי* להסיר אותם לפני כניסת השבת. יו"ר ועדת הבחירות המרכזית קבע שהשילוט עלול ליצור הטעיה לגבי קשר פוליטי אפשרי בין רשימת ישר לרשימות שלטענתה אינה קשורה עימן בקשר כזה. הכיתוב בערבית אינו מסיר את ההטעיה ואינו ממלא את החובה לזהות את האחראי לתליית השילוט, משום שהשלטים נתלו באזורים שרוב יושביהם אינם דוברים ערבית. על כן הורה יו"ר ועדת הבחירות המרכזית להסיר את השלטים בכל הארץ עד 15:30. מפאת קוצר הזמן, נימוקים מפורטים יינתנו בהמשך.
