Matan Kahana (born 1972, Haifa) is a former Sayeret Matkal soldier and IAF fighter pilot who commanded an F-16 squadron before retiring in 2018 after 25 years of service. He entered the Knesset for Yamina in 2019 and served as Minister of Religious Services in 2021-2022, pushing kashrut and conversion reforms. He moved to Gantz's National Unity in 2022, left it and resigned from the Knesset in July 2025, and was among the founders of Eisenkot's Yashar!; the party's name was his suggestion. He is No. 5 on its 2026 list.
New Right (joined Jan 2019), Yamina (2019-2022; Minister of Religious Services 2021-2022), National Unity (Aug 2022 - Jul 2025). Resigned from the Knesset in July 2025 (replaced by Yael Ron Ben-Moshe) and joined Yashar! as a founding member in September 2025.
