Tali Molner, 54, is a Netanya city councillor and head of the opposition on the council. She was first elected in 2018 with her own independent faction (Pe'ima Hadasha), served as deputy mayor in charge of welfare, and after 2024 was deputy and acting mayor in charge of security, emergency and enforcement. In the January 2026 special mayoral election she was the only woman running and came second with about 27% of the vote. A former IDF captain, she also spent four years at Israel's embassy in Rome on a Prime Minister's Office posting. She is 30th on the Yashar! list.
