Uriel Cohen is a Shas member of the Netivot city council, from the city's Torah-observant community. Local press credits him with work on housing for the Haredi public, property-tax discount criteria and municipal oversight of community stores, and describes him as close to Shas chairman Aryeh Deri. He is 14th on the 2026 Shas list.
