Aida Touma-Sliman is a feminist activist and journalist from Nazareth who founded Women Against Violence and edited the Al-Ittihad newspaper. She has been a Hadash MK since 2015 and chaired the Knesset Committee on the Status of Women. She did not seek a realistic slot in 2026 and holds symbolic no. 110 on the Joint List.

9 חודשים מתעכבת ההחלטה בפרקליטות להעמיד לדין את חברת הכנסת עאידה תומא סלימאן שפצעה נהג כשחצתה צומת באור אדום. חברת הכנסת ממפלגת חד״ש נהגה בחודש מאי 2025 בעיר עכו, כאשר חצתה באור אדום וגרמה לפציעת נהג שחצה את הצומת באור ירוק. בחקירתה טענה שלמיטב זכרונה עברה באור ירוק, אך סירבה להתחייב על כך. הראיות בתיק מלמדות שחצתה את הצומת באור אדום. חקירתה באזהרה של חברת הכנסת התעכבה במשך חודשים, בנימוק שנדרשים אישורים. לאחר חשיפת האירוע ב-i24NEWS המשטרה סיימה בזריזות את החקירה והעבירה את התיק לפרקליטות בדצמבר 2025 לצורך הגשת כתב אישום. למרות שמדובר בתיק פשוט וקל, התיק ממתין להכרעת הפרקליטות כבר תשעה חודשים, במסגרת שרשרת אישורים לפני העמדה לדין של חברת כנסת. מהפרקליטות נמסר בתגובה: ״התיק נמצא בשלבי בחינה מתקדמים״
Translation For 9 months the State Attorney's Office has been delaying the decision to prosecute MK Aida Touma-Sliman, who injured a driver when she crossed an intersection on a red light. The Hadash MK was driving in May 2025 in the city of Acre when she crossed on a red light and caused injury to a driver who was crossing the intersection on a green light. In her questioning she claimed that to the best of her memory she crossed on a green light, but refused to commit to that. The evidence in the case shows that she crossed the intersection on a red light. The MK's questioning under caution was delayed for months, on the grounds that approvals were required. After the incident was exposed by i24NEWS, the police quickly completed the investigation and transferred the case to the State Attorney's Office in December 2025 for the filing of an indictment. Although this is a simple and easy case, it has been awaiting the State Attorney's decision for nine months now, as part of a chain of approvals required before prosecuting a Knesset member. The State Attorney's Office said in response: "The case is in advanced stages of review"
