HaKahal

HaKahal ('The Congregation') is a new pan-Haredi party whose Knesset candidates are chosen in internal primaries. Elected members are bound by the decisions of an elected 'Kahal Council' of community representatives. It is led by Bnei Brak city councillor Rabbi Shlomo Elboim, who is identified with the Pnei Menachem community that split from Ger Hasidism. Its other founders are Dov Bakst, a former Kiryat Ye'arim councillor, and Yitzhak Hala, an Elad councillor.
